The MCS understands and appreciates the importance of Southampton’s Muslim youth realising and achieving their full potential. The youth are the future of the community and we believe it is vital they be given the opportunity to capitalise on the achievements of previous generations and also to go forward and realise their full potential on their own terms.
Given the importance of youth involvement in community affairs, the MCS is committed to actively engaging with young people on equal terms and giving due care and attention to their ideas, views and concerns. The MCS is unique in its approach, in that Southampton’s Muslim youth are able to engage on their own terms and to direct the way forward on issues which directly affect them. We are committed to providing guidance, advice and support to them in their endeavours whilst maintaining a hands-off approach and allowing them to engage on their own terms.
This section contains details of Islamic classes with may be of interest to Southampton’s younger Muslims, together with details of upcoming events and competitions. We also publish a youth newsletter and encourage the youth to get involved by contributing articles, research and poetry.
